Press StatementArtHatch and Distinction Gallery are pleased to announce their 5th annual art exhibit devoted to hot rods and customs of distinction, "IMMORTALIZED: The One That Got Away", an art auction charity benefit that will feature a group of nationally recognized artists. All Artworks will be auctioned off starting at only $100, gallery proceeds going to Distinction's annual art scholarship donation for Palomar College students in honor of Charles "Chuck" Leslie Walker.
In conjunction, Chick Koszis and Steve Waldron have lined up 40 unique hot rods and customs that are "a cut above" to be parked just outside the gallery. The event will be in conjunction with Escondido's famous "Cruisin' Grand".
This event is free to the public, but a suggested donation of $5 to benefit Cruisin' Grand would be appreciated. The Opening Reception will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 7-9pm with Live Music by Gino and the Lone Gunmen. VIP Pre-Party tickets ($20 in advance, $25 at the door) from 5-7pm include Stone Beer, wine and food from Vinz Wine Bar, treats from EscoGelato and conversation with the artists, sponsors and car owners.
There will be awards for artists, cars and also a Pinup contest with a Special Guest Judge, so come dressed in your best vintage outfit! Judging and awards begin at 8.
This year's Sponsors include King's Pawn, Brandy Sebastian Photography, Ford of Escondido, Hyundai of Escondido, Mercedes-Benz of Escondido, Pin-Up Culture, Cruisin' Grand, Hot Rods & Custom Stuff, Stone Brewing Co., JD Built, Shannon Itzaina, Valley View Casino, EscoGelato, and Vinz Wine Bar.
The Exhibition will run from August 7th - August 29th
The Silent Auction will end August 29th at 2pm sharp, PST.
