Press StatementDistinction Gallery continues its efforts in showing the freshest artworks by exceptionally talented artists to the Southern California region by featuring, "Fairy Tales v2", with artworks exclusively by San Diegan, Brenda York. Her ability to re-imagine the human landscape with abstract deconstructions enlivens the viewer and makes perceivable ulterior perspectives when viewing life. The opening reception, as well as, live music will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 6-10 PM with Stone Brewery Beer and complimentary wine for guests of 21 years of age.
Distinction Gallery is a 7000 square foot building which houses the front gallery: which changes monthly, "The Alley," featuring new and previous works from over 75 artists, ArtHatch, our partner non-profit, 14 artist studios, ranging in size from 150 to 800 square feet, featuring the work of over 28 local artists, and "The Lounge", containing 8 walls featuring local artists. The front gallery features contemporary and cutting edge art work with a soft focus on Urban Surrealism. Distinction exhibits work by emerging and internationally acclaimed artists.
