Distinction Gallery and ArtHatch are pleased to present a new exhibition, co-curated by David Vecchiato of MondoPOP and Dan Barry entitled, "Taetrum et Dulce: Lux in Tenebris". Drawing from his own experience as Art Director at Italy's premier urban art gallery (MondoPOP), David Vecchiato with accomplished artist Dan Barry, bring together a number of prevalent Pop-Surrealist and Lowbrow artists from around the globe. This exhibit first opened at MondoPOP in Rome, Italy and now has made it's way to Distinction Gallery. This will be the only showing of "Taetrum et Dulce: Lux in Tenebris" in the U.S. This collection of art will include a whirlpool of surrealism from the likes of Ana Bagayan, Jana Brike, Richard Frost, Chris Mars and many more. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, Sept 8, 2012 from 6-10pm in the newly renovated gallery made possible by a generous grant from San Diego County based on recommendation from Supervisor Pam Slater-Price. Complimentary Stone Brewery Beer and Wine will be served to guests 21 years of age or older.
