Distinction Gallery Presents: Aaron Jasinski "Seraphim and Spacemen" On display April 12th - May 3rd, 2008 Distinction is proud to announce the first solo show of Washington based artist Aaron Jasinski. The event will feature all brand new works created by Jasinski specifically for Distinction. Jasinski will be present for the opening reception, to be held on April 12th from 6-11pm. The event will be highlighted by live music and wine provided by Escondido's newest attraction, Vinz Wine Bar. We hope you will join us for this amazing event, which will also feature open studios by Distinctions 14 resident artists as well as original artwork by 50+ represented artists, from around the world. Distinction is now pleased to offer limited edition art vinyl toys and art books as well as in house custom framing. Jasinki grew up in Puyallup, Washington with his family, including his father who is a high school orchestra teacher and classical musician. He passed his love for music onto his son, which along with his travels has played an important role in the creation of Aaron's artworks. He received his illustration/design degree at BYU. His work has been displayed throughout the United States, Europe, and Hong Kong. Jasinski's work is full of emotion. Figurative pieces dominate his works often with a robot tucked behind a building or enveloped in the scene and occasionally a bit of humor, such as a flying dog with wings being flown by children in space suits operated by a video game controller wired into space. His work is surreal and often moody expressed through sorrow expressions and deep tones of green and brown. Jasinski has eight years experience in traditional and electronic design art. His freelance clients have included MSNGames.com, Harcourt Publishing, and Anthology Inc. among many others. Distinction is a 7000 square foot building which houses a gallery and 14 artist studios ranging in size from 150 to 800 square feet. The Gallery features contemporary and cutting edge art work with a soft focus on Urban Surrealism. Distinction exhibits work by emerging and internationally acclaimed artists and is located at: 317 East Grand Avenue, Escondido, CA 92025.
