Dan NougierHaving squandered the first 40 years of my career life as an engineer, I am pleased to now have the opportunity to devote my time to the challenges of photography. While I've also been photographing for over 40 years, I feel there is always more to learn. I embrace the endless creative controls offered by the modern digital darkroom.
However I also enjoy the satisfaction derived from producing a quality platinum/palladium print. My goal is to present photographs with a unique point of view that will allow the viewer to experience the scene as I experienced it. Not necessarily how it looked, but rather how it felt. One of my favorite quotes by Ansel Adams is "There are two people in every photograph: the photographer and the viewer." Creating an image that can equally engage both the photographer and the viewer is the true magic of photography.
