Elvin Armando

Elvin Armando is an Escondido-based painter, art instructor, and independent curator who has been painting for over a decade. His work moves between figurative painting, lowbrow influences, portraiture, animals, and imagery drawn from whatever feels instinctively compelling at the time. In recent years, animals and figurative subjects have appeared more frequently throughout his work, often carrying a sense of tenderness, strangeness, and familiarity.
