Jessica DalitBased in San Diego, Jessica Dalit is a graphic artist with a passion for blending digital creativity with traditional artistry. Originally from South Carolina, her love for art began at the age of five, inspired by anime classics like Sailor Moon and Inuyasha. Alongside anime, she was heavily influenced by the bold styles and expressive storytelling of 90s cartoons, including Looney Tunes, Cow & Chicken, Rugrats and Doug. Captivated by the animation and graphics, she would spend hours redrawing her favorite characters, unknowingly laying the foundation for her artistic journey. As her creativity expanded, she found herself drawn to digital art and design, leading her to explore new ways of bringing visuals to life. This path naturally led to a career in graphic design, where she now specializes in digital creative work, including paid advertising, motion graphics (animations, GIFs, arena signage), large-scale murals, branding for sports/community partnerships and retail. In 2017, she began working at Distinction Gallery as their lead graphic artist for Melissa Walker, creating compelling exhibition promotions, magazine ads, vinyl signage and aiding in other branding ventures throughout the gallery. Her work there also includes creating the branding for Last Spot, Escondido's first art bar, as well as the branding for two escape rooms located inside the gallery. Being immersed in such an artistic environment reignited her inspiration. That same year, she participated in her first social media challenge, Inktober, which sparked a daily drawing habit and led her to soon participate in monthly exhibits in local galleries, breweries and restaurants. While art is a major part of her life, Jessica prefers to keep it as a passion rather than a pressure. By allowing creativity to remain a personal and enjoyable outlet instead of a chore, she maintains a genuine love for her craft. Her work incorporates mixed media, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil, pen, and charcoal, balancing structure with an organic, free-flowing style. Outside of art, Jessica enjoys weightlifting, jogging, hiking, beach days and spending time traveling with her Husband, especially to Mexico. With a deep appreciation for life's small, often overlooked moments, she balances ambition with a laid-back, humble approach to both creativity and life. |
