Will GibsonRaised in the San Gabriel Valley, Will Gibson has called California home for all but three years in Columbus, OH (1999-2002). After a science degree and seven years in medical research, he turned his passion for photography into his profession in 1980, operating his own commercial studio and photo lab in San Marcos, CA for 20 years. Since 1999, he has focused his efforts on teaching as well as producing and promoting his fine art imagery. A firm believer in learning by doing, he has studied in workshops by Larry Ford, Al Weber, and most recently John Sexton. He was an artist-in-residence at Rocky Mountain National Park in 1993 and has exhibited in more than 100 group and one-man shows throughout the years. He has taught photography at the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio and since 2003 has taught photography as an adjunct instructor at Palomar Community College in San Marcos, CA. He is a founding member of the PhotoArts Group, based in Escondido that has organized and produced more than 50 group photographic exhibitions and a workshop in the last 8 years in San Diego County. He edited and designed their second book, InnerSpace, A Commemoration of the PhotoArts Group's InnerSpace Gallery (2010). He also was the curator and editor of "Cross-Pollination 14 Artists Working in Digital Media", Sept 2010 in conjunction with the Digital Art Guild.
