Press StatementArtHatch and Distinction Gallery are thrilled to announce the first United States solo exhibition of artist Virginie Mazureau. Virginie is an artist from France who recently moved to Carlsbad, CA. The exhibition titled "Free Souls" will feature 18 of Virginie's newest whimsical mixed media paintings.
The Opening Reception with the artist will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 6-10pm.
Additionally we will have live music, open studios featuring 40+ local artists, and complimentary Stone Beer compliments of Stone and wine compliments of BK Cellars for guests 21+. We are proud to serve both of these outstanding beverages that are headquartered in Escondido.
The exhibition will run from December 12 - January 2, 2016.
ArtHatch is a 7000 square foot building which houses the front gallery: exhibitions changing monthly, "The Alley," featuring over 20 local artists, the teen lounge featuring artwork by 20+ teen artists, 14 artist studios, ranging in size from 150 to 800 square feet, featuring the work of 20 additional local artists. The front gallery features contemporary and cutting edge artwork - primarily figurative oil and acrylic paintings by mid-career artists.
